Thank you to Zoe O ‘Farrell for my invitation to the tour and for my copy of the e book in return for a fair and honest review.
The story begin with Leslie recounting his life in Stoke on Trent which has been largely uneventful after his mother passes away, he fails to get in contact with any of his brothers and after the funeral strange occurrences start to happen. He visits the Dr who diagnoses him with depression, he is not convinced but then he receives a visit this time from his oldest brother Jonathan, it becomes apparent that the other brothers left home as soon as they could.
He offers Leslie a house Elphin Cottage in the North West Highlands of Scotland, he says its because Leslie never his chance in life as he stayed to look after their mother.
He takes the offer and heads on a long journey to Scotland. When he reaches the cottage he feels uneasy about the place then he his warned by one of the locals to be careful.
This is a really unsettling but absorbing book, once I started Leslie’s story I could not put it down. There are strange sightings, plenty of things that go bump in the night.
Leslie tries to ignore these happenings but it becomes apparent that it is not going to be that easy to do. As in all good ghost stories curiosity get the better of him and he goes off to explore. This is a really emotive and interesting tale and if you love a creepy ghost story then you will enjoy this book.
