My thoughts

I am delighted to be sharing my review of The Murder After the Night Before, which I read as one of the February books with my fellow Squadpod ladies. Thank you to HQ for my copy of the book.

Poor Molly finds herself in a real mess, she wakes up to find a man in her bed, Jack and has little recollection of what happened the night before. The pace of this book is quick and rewarding as we quickly find out more and more about Molly’s evening.

Just when you think it can’t get any worse for her it really does when she finds out that her friend and flatmate is dead. The police think it was an accident but Molly finds something that makes her delve deeper into Posey’s death.  This is such an engaging and fun take on a murder mystery. I really liked Molly, yes she makes some poor choices at times but as the story progresses you find out more about her and why this maybe the case. As I turned each page my interest grew and grew in this young women who is on a mission to find out the truth.

I absolutely loved the surprises this book threw at me that I did not see coming at all.

What a fantastically unique read!

About the book

Something bad happened last night. My best friend Posey is dead. The police think it was a tragic accident. I know she was murdered.

I’ve woken up with the hangover from hell, a stranger in my bed, and I’ve gone viral for the worst reasons.

There’s only one thing stopping me from dying of shame. I need to find a killer.

But after last night, I can’t remember a thing…

From the author of How to Kill Men and Get Away With It, don’t miss this wickedly witty and utterly addictive novel, perfect for fans of Bella Mackie, Dawn O’Porter and Killing Eve.
