A sumptuous extravaganza of ballet accompanied by the wonderful Royal Ballet Sinfonia, made the performance all the more special.
From the prologue, to Act III, the costumes, choreography and skill of the dancers kept us entranced.
We were treated to Princess Aurora danced by the skilled Principal dancer, Celine Gittens and her Prince Florimund, Soloist Yasiel Hodelin Bello.
There is something for everyone in this ballet, good vs evil with the Lilac Fairy and the darkness of Carabosse determined to cause havoc for the King and Queen.
The scenery transports you from the palace to the forest and then to a wedding,everything about this show was spectacular especially with some special guests included.
Tchaikovsky’s score is just perfect for this story that most of us know from childhood and holds a special place in hearts.
A Wednesday night delight !!
